Description:

This bicycle ride takes you down the Minnesota River Bluffs Regional Trail to Eden Prairie. From there, you'll pass Frederick Miller Spring, the only place in the Twin Cities where you can drink clean, natural spring water straight from the Earth. Nearby is the Lion's Tap, a popular restaurant known for its burgers and house brewed beer (both regular and root).

The route skirts along the edge of the Minnesota River Valley using a mixture of roads and paved paths. A closed road with river views beckons you to try a cheeky shortcut, or you can play it safe and stick to the route. Some of the descents along here can be quite steep, so be careful. At Bloomington Ferry Road, you'll drop into the river valley and ride the dirt trails in the Minnesota River Bottoms. There is a raft crossing at Nine Mile Creek.

What is an Adventure Ride?

Adventure rides feature a variety of scenery and terrain, including pavement, gravel, and off-road trails. They pass through beautiful natural areas, historical sites, and other points of interest.

The routes are thoroughly researched and informed by years of experience, but they are not always tested before the ride. You may encounter detours and closed roads. The terrain may be uneven. There may be obstacles like roots and rocks, so you must be confident in your bike handling skills.

These are "drop rides" meaning there is no lead or sweep keeping the group together. You must be able to navigate the route by yourself.

This is not an official event. It is not associated with any business or organization. It's simply a ride among friends and soon-to-be friends.
