Babes in Bikeland
Alleycat RaceFemme/Trans/Women
Event is for FTW riders only.
Registration: https://www.bikereg.com/babes-in-bikeland
Babes in Bikeland is being resurrected!!! It will be an event to remember, and we are hoping to bring back a lot of the community joy and strength that this event used to highlight so well.
What was Babes in Bikeland?
Babes was a bike event that spanned 10 years, it started in 2006 as an alleycat and by its final year in 2016 was a community institution that focused on being more than an alleycat, and instead was centered on being a community celebration for women, trans, queer and gender expansive riders.
Babes in Bikeland is for femme, trans, women and gender expansive riders — cis men are not eligible to ride in the event, but we would love your support! You can reach out babesinbikeland@gmail.com to express interest in volunteering.
Race Info:
Meet up starting at 10:30AM at Venture Bikes.
Race starts at 1:00PM
(You don't need to arrive as early as 10:30am, however, after arriving, you need to check in (there will be a line!), pick up your race manifest (and t-shirt if you bought one) and plan your route from stop to stop. Some announcements around 12:30, and plan to be ready to ride by then.)
There are 3 race options:
Family Plan: For anyone riding with kids. Stops have kid-friendly activities. Kids of all genders welcome. 10-12 miles to complete all stops.
Party Pace: Fun activities planned at the stops. Geared towards riders who want to experience an alleycat without feeling the pressure of competition. 18-20 miles to complete all the stops.
Main Event: This is for the bag. This is for the glory. 25-35 miles to complete all the stop.
