Group ride (no-drop) — May Day caravan ride from Behind Bars Bicycle Shop down to the annual May Day festivities at Powderhorn Park!
When: Sunday, May 3rd, 2026. Meet at 11 AM, depart at 11:15 AM.
Start: Behind Bars Bicycle Shop, 208 13th Ave NE
End: Grease Pit Bike Shop, 2750 Bloomington Ave
Distance: 5 miles. Pace: 10–15 mph.
From the Grease Pit, you can find a spot to view the May Day parade, which goes down Bloomington Ave and ends at Powderhorn Park. After the parade: Tree of Life Ceremony (viewable from the west side of Powderhorn Lake), music, dancing, and picnicking in the park, a block party at Reverie (1517 E 35th St), and a punk show at the Grease Pit.
Bring a helmet, bike lock, water bottle, food, and sun protection. Water and bathrooms available at the Powderhorn recreation center.
