The Cutty Cup is an Alley-Cat style race in SE Minneapolis. The goal is to collect signatures from each point given to you as fast as possible. Anything with a SE Address within Minneapolis is in-bounds (South of Hennepin, East of the Mississippi). Manifests (List of Checkpoints in Address Format) will be drawn on the morning of the race, and distributed to racers at the start time. There is no fixed race route and all roads/trails will be open to traffic. Expected time to complete the race is 1-2.5 hours.
The admission fee is a donation that will go towards recuperating prize funds and paying volunteer artists (flyer artists, photographers, videographers). We suggest a donation of $10, but this is not required for participation. Payment will be collected in-person before the start time. Venmo and Cash will be accepted.
This race is open to all cyclists, not just fixed gear. The purpose of this race is partly to organize and strengthen the cycling community in SE Minneapolis, so help us ensure that all cyclists feel welcome. Prizes will be awarded to the First Place Finisher, the DFL (Dead Fucking Last), Highest Elevation Gain (Recorded with Strava or some equivalent), and Longest Skid Winner (An optional contest after race completion).
Take whatever safety precautions you feel are necessary, but understand that you will have to sign a waiver/liability release form upon arrival in order to participate.
